There are a range of options available to help disabled people, including financial help.
The Government website has a listing of the financial and other help available.
Other organisations such as Habinteg Housing Association provide housing solutions. There are specialist organistions such as Accessible Property.org who advertise wheelchair accessible residential property and holiday accommodation.
Please see the information below about Accessible Housing in Tower Hamlets and an initiative called Project 120 that helps match applicants who require fully wheelchair accessible homes.
Accessible Housing Register

Category B - Partially Wheelchair Accessible
Category C - Lifetime Homes
Category D - Easy Access

Category F - General Housing
Category G - Home not yet assessed
A detailed explanation of the categories is available as a PDF.
Help finding a wheelchair home
The Project 120
Tower Hamlets Council and its partners are committed to providing good quality homes to as many of the Boroughs eligible residents as possible.
We recognise that many families have particular needs that make it difficult for them to live comfortably in their current property, and they require a wheelchair home that is more suited to their family’s specific needs.
We will work with these families and our developing partners in the Borough, to provide a suitable home that we hope will meet their needs and one that they will be happy to live in.
For more details please read about Project 120.
